On Wednesday, 49 exotic cats, including Bengal and Asian Leopard cats, were surrendered to the Houston SPCA. This came in the wake of the owner’s recent passing. Among these animals was a group of Bengal kittens only four weeks old, alongside a single dog and two domestic cats. These animals had been enduring deplorable living conditions on a property in Alvin, Texas. They have since been relocated to the Houston SPCA campus, where they will receive personalized care and attention.
In March, the Houston SPCA carried out a similar mission, rescuing 19 exotic cats, including a litter of Bengal kittens. At that time, these animals were discovered living in dire circumstances. Following their rescue, they received medical treatment for gastrointestinal and respiratory ailments. The Asian leopard cats were eventually relocated to sanctuaries, while the Bengal cats found new, loving homes.
